New Temple
With Thakorji’s blessing and Pujya Jejeshri’s guidance, our vision for Shreemaya Krishnadham is to establish the largest temple on the West Coast dedicated to the worship of Lord Krishna as Shrinathji.
Our new designed darshan hall will include nine beautifully architectural designed spaces on the side walls for nine (9) nidhi swaroops pertaining to the different forms of Shrinathji. Pujya Jejeshri’s plan for Shreemaya Krishnadham is to have a more unique haveli that comprises of having darshan of the nine main pushtimarg nidhi swaroops of Shrinathji (nine forms of Shrinathji). This would be the first temple in the world to have such a theme and pointedly makes a statement of his and our vision of welcoming all the seven (7) houses of Pushtimarg Vallabkul. (You may have grown up or have closer affiliation with one of the houses!)
Additionally, our newly renovated Haveli will include the following to serve the needs of our growing community:
- New Nij Mandir with large 3000 sq ft Darshan Hall
- Thakorji’s rooms and kitchen
- Priest Quarters
- Large state-of-the-art kitchen
- Dining hall for Mahaprasad and other events
- Event hall for hosting large events such as religious (Satsang) and community events, like weddings, concerts, etc.
The city permitting process is underway with the City of San Jose. Our architect is actively working with the city and responding to their questions and feedback. Things are moving rapidly, and we expect to start our long-awaited renovations very soon.
Our budget for the renovation of the first floor is $5 million. With Thakorji’s Krupa and your support, we have $2 million set aside for the renovations and will need to raise $3 million to be able to complete the project.
Our goal is to reach 50% of our target with your support – meaning to raise at least $1.5 million in pledges or donations before the end of the event. And would sincerely like for you to come and participate during the 4 day event.
